Weekly Themes

Our weekly themes for worship provide unity and allow everyone the opportunity to reflect and share their thoughts and ideas with their friends at Roecliffe. Take a look at the weekly theme boards, a 'working wall' really, to get a taste for how we nurture our pupils' ideas.

All children are take an active role in the planning, delivery and evaluation of our Collective Worship in School.

The daily act of Collective Worship at Roecliffe Church of England Primary School plays a central role in our life and work. It offers important opportunities to strengthen our sense of community, belonging and inclusiveness and to reinforce the respect and care we have for each other. Through Collective Worship we make a significant contribution to the religious, spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of those present.

We want all our children to ‘enjoy and achieve’ and Collective Worship provides a valuable vehicle for this. The Collective Worship Committee have very clear ideas about what, and how, Collective Worship shapes our school, and the impact it has on pupils' thought and feelings. Take a look at some of the comments from the applications...
