Primary School Admissions
You can apply online 24/7 for a primary school place. It is your responsibility to ensure you have read all of the information provided to you via this website before applying online.
If you have a child (born between 1 September 2013 and 31 August 2014) you will need to apply for a primary school place for them to start in Reception in September 2019.

You must complete the application form as soon as possible and no later than 15 January 2019. This is to allow the authority to allocate a school place for your child in accordance with our agreed scheme for coordinating admissions.
In year Admissions
Sometimes children need to change school at a time other than starting in reception, transferring to a junior school or transferring to secondary school for the very first time. Some changes may be unavoidable, for example, when you move into North Yorkshire or move house, or sometimes they occur because of difficulties at your child's current school. We will do our best to place your child at a school as soon as possible.
An in-year application can be made at any time of the year. You can apply up to a term in advance of the admission date. The online form will guide you and show you what year group you can apply for, according to your child's date of birth.
You can use the normal school application form for in-year applications.
