Roecliffe Church of England Primary School is a school for children of four to eleven years of age. The School is maintained by North Yorkshire County Council, and is a modernised late Victorian Grade II Listed Building adjacent to the village green, which serves as the school's playing field.
Outside there is a tarmac playground with permanent markings for a netball pitch and outdoor mathematical activities. At the front of the school there is an adventure play area with logs, climbing ropes, climbing frames, balance bars and seating. We have constructed a wonderful outdoor learning area, this includes a garden, sand pit, creative zone, areas for physical development, adventure play equipment and educational games. During dry weather periods, the children are able to use the village green for playtimes, sporting activities including football, hockey, cricket, rounders, tennis and after school clubs
There are four classrooms at Roecliffe as follows; please click on the link to visit the class pages for more information from the class teachers.
The main hall is used for collective worship and is also used as an additional teaching area and dining room. Our library provides an excellent provision for the children's learning. Children from Reception age upwards are encouraged to use the library regularly and independently.
